Her captivating and inspiring story began in a remote Ethiopian village as an illiterate girl shepherding her family’s sheep and helping with chores that included collecting water from the river, wood from the forest and grinding grain on a millstone. It continues with a challenging journey with her family from Ethiopia to the State of Israel. Often barefoot, with one of her two-year old twin sisters on her back, Yarden walked at night more than 450 miles across the Sudan desert. After spending a year in a Sudanese refugee camp, she and her family were airlifted to the State of Israel.
Light breakfast will be served, dietary laws observed.
