Greg Abel is the President and Founder of Abel Communications, a results-oriented public relations firm based in Baltimore, dedicated to fresh thinking to help clients achieve business goals. Abel provides a range of PR and marketing services for companies looking to raise awareness by reaching target audiences with the right message at the right time. Greg founded the firm in 2005 after more than a dozen years of experience in journalism, sports and event marketing, and corporate public relations.

Rabbi Geoff Basik
Geoff Basik, is the founding rabbi of the Kol HaLev Synagogue Community. Geoff spent ten years at the Center for Jewish Education in Baltimore where he taught, organized community programs, and led trips to Poland and Israel. The rabbinate was a natural extension of his interest in religious thought and experience, the exploration of our interior lives, his delight in teaching, and his interpersonal skills. He is a bridge to Jewish wisdom, practices, and values in the context of modernity. Mandy Diamond, Leadership Facilitator, started her leadership and learning career in Australia, working as a Learning and Development Consultant for one of Australia’s major banks, with her focus always on leadership and team development. Mandy was responsible for developing, designing and facilitating a leadership development program for frontline managers and worked through a company merger, playing a pivotal role in the change management program. She then joined Ivan at On Cue Executive development. This saw Mandy expa
nd into Executive level leadership and strategy development as well as working with organizations at an executive level to work through cultural change. Rina Goloskov is the Assistant Director of Communications at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School/Beth Tfiloh Congregation, using her nearly two decades of communications experience to manage the brand of both a US Department of Education National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence that serves 900+ students, as well as a 2,000-family Jewish congregation, across multiple marketing channels: website, social media, print and radio advertising, direct mail, and e-mail. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Touro College and is currently pursuing a combined MA in Communications and Certificate in Non-Profit Management at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs. Naphtali Hoff, PsyD
Naphtali Hoff is an accomplished executive coach, organizational consultant, and sought after trainer and lecturer. He completed his doctorate in human and organizational psychology, which analyzes successful individual or organizational change and development, and holds two master’s degrees in education and educational leadership, respectively. Across careers as an entrepreneur, attorney, teacher and marketer, Elaine acquired deep experience working at and consulting for corporate organizations from start-ups to Wall Street.
Elaine is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a B.S. in Advertising in the College of Communications, and of Cardozo School of Law in New York City; she also completed Harvard Law School’s Advanced Negotiation Program for Lawyers. Elaine is a member of the New York State bar and is an expert in collaborative negotiation and alternative dispute resolution in the corporate environment.
Neil Rubin is an educator and commentator based in Baltimore. Prior to that he served the Baltimore Jewish Times company for more than 20 years, including seven as editor of the Atlanta Jewish Times and 13 as the senior editor in Baltimore. A popular lecturer, his main area of academic interest is the development of modern Zionism and present-day Israel-Diaspora relations.
In 2010, Neil received his Ph.D. from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University. His thesis was “American Jewry and the Oslo Years,” which was later published as a book by Palgrave McMillan.
Rabbi Larry Ziffer
Larry Ziffer has been the Executive director of the CJE for 15 years. Prior to joining the CJE, Ziffer accumulated a wealth of leadership development experience through more than two decades as a community planner. He worked as a senior planner at the Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston, as planning director of the Jewish Community Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and as vice president for community development at The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
